News form my point of view

The news over the last few days has done little to raise the hopes of most Americans. GM’s announcement that they are going to sell Saab; Hummer; and their Opal lines , while shutting down the Pontiac lie and possibly stopping production of the Saturn at the end of 2009. All this would include the LOSS of another 21,000 (that’s twenty one thousand fellow Americans) workers ability to support their families in the next year and a half. In spite of this kind of action by the large companies, our elected officials keep telling us that they see signs of a recovery. I must ask what kind of recovery? One that provides for a society of haves and have not’s? I am left wondering how long it will be before GM takes the $15.4 BILLION, of tax payer money, and uses the bankruptcy laws to avoid repaying you and me.
It seems like there is no one looking out for the American Citizen. In order to prepare for the collapse of the America I grew up believing in, I will have to make sure I am in a position to take care of myself and my family. That is where I must educate myself about how world finances work and how the USA interacts with in the world economy.
